Gin School
The Castle at Edgehill is steeped in local, English history – overlooking the site of the Battle of Edgehill, which took place on 23rd October 1642. The tower was built 100 years later by Sanderson Miller and is said to mark the spot where King Charles I raised the standard before the two sides clashed. The tower, also known as the ‘Radway’ or ‘Round Tower’, was intended to replicate Guy’s Tower at nearby Warwick Castle.
At the Castle Gin School, you will take charge of a mini copper pot still to develop your very own gin recipe, by choosing from our extensive range of citrus, herbal, floral and spice botanicals, or alternatively you can bring your own along. At the very end of the session, you will be able to bottle and label your own unique creation in a 70cl bottle. You can also join us for one of our shorter, informative taster sessions, where you will get to try the full range of spirits produced by Pinnock Distillery.

The Ultimate Gin Experience

The ultimate gin experience for either one, or two people (where they will share one mini copper still to make one 70cl bottle of gin to share.)

A guided tasting of the Pinnock Gin range and 3 complimentary G&Ts.
Make your own gin with step-by-step guidance through the fascinating distillation process.
Sample and name your unique creation before bottling it ready to take home with you (70cl bottle).

FAQs
Is my gift voucher refundable?
No, gin school vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be used as value towards bar/restaurant/retail purchases.
How do I redeem my gift voucher?
Select a day that you would like to redeem your voucher for on the booking system. Once you’ve entered your details, you will be prompted to redeem your E Voucher code on the payment page.

How long is a voucher valid for?
Your gift voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed on any available gin school lesson within that time period (subject to availability).
Can I apply my gift voucher to other products or services?
No. Gin school gift vouchers must be redeemed on gin school experiences only.
Can I cancel my booking?
A minimum of 7 days notice is required for all cancellations and all bookings made by gift vouchers are non-refundable. If you cancel within 7 days, your booking will be charged in full.
Can I reschedule my booking?
If you need to reschedule your booking, a minimum of 7 days notice prior to your booked date is required. Requests are subject to availability.
If you reschedule within 7 days of your booking, a £15 booking fee will apply.
Bookings cannot be rescheduled more than once.
Do you allow dogs in your gin school?
Whilst The Castle is a dog-friendly pub, dogs are not permitted in the distillery itself due to the location and nature of the gin school.
I’ve purchased ‘The Ultimate Gin Experience’ for two persons. Do we both create a bottle of gin?
No. The experience for two includes one shared mini copper pot still and one shared 70cl bottle of gin.
A second empty bottle can be purchased on the day to split the gin between two.
Is it possible to arrange a private group lesson at the gin school?
Yes. Exclusive use of the gin school is available. Please contact The Castle at Edgehill directly to enquire.
Do you have disabled access at the gin school?
Unfortunately there is no lift facility at the Gin School, so disabled access cannot currently be accommodated in the distillery itself.

How long is a gin school lesson?
The “Ultimate Gin Experience” lasts approximately 3 hours.
The tasting session lasts approximately 1 hour.
